Thawing Warm Temperatures of 38 Degrees in Minnesota Melts Snow, Welcomes Sunny Skies into Thanksgiving Weekend

Warm temperatures of up to 38 degrees are now expected in Minnesota, which will cause snow to melt. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, the region will enjoy sunny skies.

Eden Prairie in Minnesota is one of the cities that are up for some melting snow, according to weather experts from FOX 9 KMSP.

Tuesday, Wednesday Forecast

In the Twin Cities metro area, Tuesday's high will reach about 38 degrees, allowing for melting and thawing. Highs in the southwestern Minnesota area will be warmer, with low 40s predicted for the day's highs. Highs in northern Minnesota will be colder, in the low 30s.

The Twin Cities metro area will experience overnight lows in the 20s.

Tuesday's melting could result in some fog, especially coming from the I-94 corridor and other northern areas. The effects of this might affect how warm it is on Wednesday. The Twin Cities could see a high near 40 degrees, whereas southwestern Minnesota will see temperatures rise into the mid-40s to upper 40s. It will be in the mid-30s in northern Minnesota, however, places, where the fog persists into lunchtime, will be cooler.

Thanksgiving Thursday + Weekend Forecast

Thanksgiving Day highs on Thursday will be around 36 degrees with a few clouds and a chance for light drizzle or flurries in the region. However, you should only anticipate very little precipitation.

Friday will be sunny and warm, with a high of about 40 degrees.

This weekend appears to be lovely. A high of 42 degrees is forecast for Saturday, which will be mild and largely sunny. The weather on Sunday will be typical for this time of year, with patchy sunshine as well as a high of 38 degrees.

According to forecasts from the National Weather Service, the region will experience mostly cloudy skies on Monday with a high around 33. The 5 to 10 mph north-northwest wind will change to a south-southeast wind in the morning.

Running, golfing, stargazing, biking, and cycling, on the other hand, should be done carefully as humidity, temperature, wind gusts, and precipitation can slow down or make an activity uncomfortable.

Home and gardening activities are not recommended for the day. This includes lawn mowing, composting, and outdoor entertaining.

Watch out for indoor pests as home invasion is prone during weather like this. Risks for indoor pests are rated as "high."
