The people behind the monoliths in Utah, Romania, and Australia have surfaced saying that they built the strange structures that have been popping up in many places in different countries, which is continuously getting people excited and speculating about all sorts of possible origins and reasons for the appearance of these structures.

The monoliths have also appeared in the Isle of Wight and California, and if the latest reports are true, also in Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Their account of how they did it is found in a YouTube channel named "I did a thing" with the video title: "Why did I build Monoliths all around the world?"

The channel is owned by at least two guys, one of whom is named Mark. They are the ones who supposedly created the mysterious monoliths that have been popping up all over.

After doing the Utah and Romania monoliths, the creators were told to build more monoliths because of an Australian who has their own Netflix show. This Australian represents "Aunty Donna."

They exchanged a Zoom call and three emails, and after two days, they flew to Melbourne to set up another monolith together. The video showed them meeting in Melbourne and deciding to build it. However, what they meant when they said they will build the monolith is that they will ask someone else who has the skills to build one, and then pay for it.

In the beginning, the YouTube channel owners claimed that they were doing the Australian monolith because the aforementioned Netflix showrunners asked them to. But it was reiterated by the latter that they only called the former in December of 2019 to collaborate for the show.

It was emphasized that the channel owners set up the meeting with the man from Utah, which they also did for the Romania monolith. They said that if any trouble arises from the project, the monoliths would solely be the responsibility of the creators who had the original idea, and the Netflix guys would not be liable for it.

Transporting the monolith

First, they had trouble transporting the monolith that they built because it did not fit in the car. They eventually got a truck where the thing could be placed and tied it at the top of their truck.

In setting up the monolith in Australia, they were initially worried about other people seeing them, although traveling in public with the monolith on top of a truck, they dismissed people as being uncaring about the thing they were carrying.

As they got to the site, they then proceeded to dig up the ground. They were quite methodical and precise in placing the tower, measuring the ground they dug into the required triangular depression where the thing was going to stand on.

The video then showed them bringing the monolith to the dug site, which is a wooded area, and inserting it into the hole.

Throughout the entire process, they did not have a serious demeanor about their project, joking around and laughing, and they did not seriously consider the effect the monoliths will have on the minds and emotions of people who were in awe of the strange structures in Utah, Romania, Australia, and all over the world.
