California Severe Storm: Heavy Snow, Colder Conditions to Impact This Weekend

According to AccuWeather's latest forecast, Californians are expected to receive heavy snow this weekend and early next week.

The Weather outlook showed that the heavy snow could result in two to five feet of snow. There is a possibility of road closures and avalanche risk.

• Snow is forecast in Northern Carolina, Reno, Sierra Nevada, Sacramento Valley, and northwestern California.

CNN and Associated Press (AP) recently became stranded due to the massive snow from winter storms, especially in San Bernardino County.

According to reports, California Gov. Gavin Newsom issued a state of emergency for 13 affected counties.

The National Guard was also deployed to help affected homes and residents from heavy snow.

• Meanwhile, the National Weather Prediction Center explained that a winter storm would unload freezing rain and heavy snow in New England, New York City and Lower Michigan this weekend.
