According to AccuWeather's latest forecast, a storm system is expected to bring colder temperatures in parts of the Western US this week.

Homeowners should anticipate the unsettled cold conditions, causing unusual cold in the state.

Hypothermia and frostbite are the most common during extreme cold.

It is essential that homeowners should check the temperatures of their loved ones, especially those with pre-existing health conditions.

Furthermore, AccuWeather's latest forecast said snowy conditions could become noticeable on Wednesday in San Francisco, Portland, Boise, Salt Lakes City and Flagstaff.

The snow conditions could lead to possible road closures, travel delays and avalanches.

On Wednesday, the forecast said widespread cold would unfold, with rounds of rains in some areas.

Cold conditions are expected in Redding, Reno and Elko. Meanwhile, chilly winds would unload in Phoenix and Albuquerque.

Possible snow could unleash in Grand Junction, Cedar City and Salt Lake City.

Rainy conditions are forecast in San Francisco bay Area, Fresno, San Joaquin Valley, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Diego.

The rain and snow would address the prolonged drought in California.

In January, CNN and the BBC News reported relentless rain unloaded in California, benefiting drought-stricken reservoirs and lakes.

In the latest advisory, the National Weather Prediction Center reported a winter storm in the Plains and Northeast this week.

The weather agency explained that the developing winter storm would affect the Southern Plains, Great Lakes and Northeast.

In addition, the forecasts showed that the Northeast could feel the severe weather risk on Saturday.

The winter storm is expected to unload heavy snow and challenging winds until the weekend.

The advisory warned of hazardous travel and possible damage to properties.

The troublesome weather conditions could also unload freezing rain, causing slower commutes and travel disruptions.

On the other hand, the NWS New York NY noted widespread snow. The advisory emphasized travel safety by maintaining a following distance.

The report also said to drive slowly on slick and slippery roads.
