WARNING: 2016 Expected to Be Hottest Year on Record
The WMO released an official statement claiming that 2016 is bound to be the hottest year on record. According to the data, this year's global temperature is 1.2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. The hike in temperature can be attributed to the month's long El Nino experienced earlier this year.
