A massive weekend storm can unload in the Eastern US this week. The forecast warned of rain, snow and strong winds, causing power outages and travel concerns.

The NWS Storm Prediction Center warned of severe storms in the Mid-South. The severe outlook could cause isolated tornadoes, hail and strong winds. Parts of the US recorded widespread cold, including in the Pacific Northwest, Northeast and Midwest.

In addition, the National Weather Service (NWS) reminded of stormy conditions in the Upper Mississippi Valley and Northern Plains on Friday and early weekend.

In the Northern and Central Rockies, an upper-level energy will produce heavy snow in the region.

In this week's weather, people in the Eastern US should check for heavy rain, snow and widespread travel concerns. Localized power outages are also possible due to the freezing outlook.

The latest forecast is monitoring a weekend storm in the Eastern US this week. The heavier snow can become noticeable in the Interior Northeast. Strong winds can unload in the New England Coast and Mid-Atlantic.

On Saturday, the rounds of rain can likely unload in the following areas:

  • New York City
  • Washington D.C
  • Raleigh
  • Savannah
  • Chicago
  • St. Louis

Homeowners should stay alert for moderate to heavy rain in the Gulf Coast and Great Lakes, including the East Coast. People should check for Flood Watch advisories, especially in Northern and Central Vermont.

Flash flood risks are also possible in the Eastern US due to the threat of heavy rain. The strong wind threats can damage roofs, powerlines and light vehicles.

Next week, the snow can unload in the following:

  • Pittsburgh
  • Charleston
  • Bristol
  • Cincinnati
  • Cleveland

In New York City, residents can anticipate a warming trend due to high pressure. The forecast warned of a strong frontal system on the weekend, unleashing flooding, strong winds and rain.

In Boston City, a strong weather system will bring severe impacts on the weekend and early next week. High winds and coastal flooding are possible in the late week.

Weather in the Northeast: Where Will Accumulating Snow Unload?

On the weekend, the stormy outlook can unload in the Northeast. The rounds of rain are likely in the following areas:

  • Nashville
  • Atlanta
  • Jacksonville

The rainy outlook will help with the drought-impacted areas in the Northeast and Midwest. Burlington and Buffalo can experience the chance of snow.

On the weekend, the chance of snow can occur in Montreal, Erie, Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Charleston.
