Southern Michigan to Virginia: Rain and Heavy Snow

Challenging colds can cause hypothermia and frostbite, especially for older adults, children, and people with medical conditions. 

According to the latest forecasts, southern Michigan to Virginia can expect a snowy outlook this week, including in New England. Meanwhile, the clipper storm can be significant in the chilly weather in the region.

In addition, 3 to 6 inches of snow can occur in Western Maryland, West Virginia and Western Carolina. Challenging colds can cause hypothermia and frostbite, especially for older adults, children, and people with medical conditions.

Meanwhile, locally heavy snow can unload in the Rockies and Central High Plains by the end of the week.

In the midweek, residents can expect unseasonably warm weather in the following areas:

  • Chicago
  • Des Moines
  • St. Louis
  • Cleveland
  • Oklahoma City
  • Memphis
  • Cleveland
  • Billings
  • Wichita
  • Sioux Falls
  • Bismarck
  • Regina

The temperatures can be from 15 to 25 above historical average. Warmer temperatures can be likely in Northern Michigan, Wisconsin, Nothern Mississippi, Arkansas and Tennessee.

Weather in Other Parts of the US: Snow And Above-Average Temperatures

The NWS Discussion showed that snow showers can be likely in the Northeast, Great Lakes, and Appalachians this Thursday. Accumulating snow can unload in the Central and Southern Appalachians.

In addition, homeowners should check for Winter Weather Advisories, especially in mountainous areas. In the Central US, residents can expect above-average temperatures on Friday.

The higher temperatures can reach 60s in South Dakota and 70s in Southern Kansas. Daily high temperatures can also unfold in the Great Plains and Upper Midwest.
