Japan's Severe Flooding: Six Dead, Three Missing Due to Heavy Rain, Landslides

Japan Times' latest report shows heavy rain in Southwest Japan, especially in Kyushu, causing rivers to rise rapidly.

Japan's flooding concerns

In the latest forecast, The Guardian reported heaviest rain and floods occurred in the country.

According to Reuters, the Japan Meteorological Agency reminded people to stay alert for landslide risks as special warnings lowered.

The report noted that the heavy rain also impacted transportation operations, resulting in travel disruptions. Train operations were affected.

Furthermore, six people were the casualties of the torrential rain in Japan. The Japan Times reported that three people died in the flooding rain. Three casualties were being investigated if deaths were related to the weather.

Search and rescue operations were deployed in the affected areas. Three people were reported missing due to the heavy rain.

The report advised residents to become careful and alert of possible landslides and flash floods after the rain.

According to the Guardian report, government authorities would immediately help the affected people, ensuring that people's lives are the priority.

On the other hand, Nature World News (NWN) reported that Northern India recorded heavy rain conditions and flooding.

Based on Reuters's report, 22 people died from the torrential rain and flooding in Northern India, especially in parts of Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

The country is also under the monsoon season, from April to September.

In Southwest China, heavy rain resulted in severe flooding in Chongqing. According to the Associated Press (AP), report, 15 people died from the heavy rain and flooding in the region.

The report added that immediate evacuations were announced, especially in the Sichuan, where 85,000 people became displaced.
