About 50 Tiger Sharks Filmed on Feeding on Humpback Whale's Remains on Hervey Bay Coast, Australia

A video showed a group of 50 tiger sharks feeding a dead Humpback whale in Australian waters, urging people to stay away from dead or deceased animals.

It was a feeding frenzy, as a video showed that 50 tiger sharks flocked to a dead humpback whale.

According to Newsweek and The Guardian, the video was filmed over Hervey Bay's coast in Queensland.

The report added that the dead humpback whale could likely suffer from sickness or natural death before being found by the group of tiger sharks.

Furthermore, Newsweek explained that dead whales are considered a food for marine animals or carnivores, including tiger sharks.

Meanwhile, the Queensland Environment explained that the QPWS rangers took the feeding frenzy video on Hervey Bay.

While the view or video could help feed the tiger sharks, it is best that people avoid said situations. The advisory suggested that Australians or tourists should stay away from deceased marine animals.

Tiger sharks could likely hunt deceased, dying or stranded humpback whales, making them an easy target or prey.

According to The Guardian report, Senior Ranger Daniel Clifton said the video revealed the relationship between sharks and whales, adding that dead whales could become a vital food source.

The report added that rising records of migrating whales in the area could likely die from natural causes. He also added that dead whale areas could likely see sharks.

Tiger shark approaching closer to a beach

Recently, Fox Weather News also reported that a drone video captured a tiger shark approaching close to a beach in Western Australia.

According to the report, the tiger shark was recorded near Mullaloo Beach, which was extremely close.

It is best that beachgoers stay alert on beaches, as shark presence could be possible. Swimming in supervised and designated areas with patrolling lifeguards is essential to ensure your safety.

In May, the BBC News reported that a surfer became missing on South Australia's west coast, which could likely suffer from a shark attack.

Based on the report, the 46 years old man was enjoying surfing the area when he faced a shark.

After being informed about the incident, search operations were deployed there.

According to the Australian Museum, the tiger shark could potentially reach at least six meters in length. Tiger sharks could become aggressive, causing possible dangerous situations in coastal or beach areas.

Tiger sharks are said to become more active at night, hunting their potential prey. The Tiger shark is present in South Western Australia, New South Wale Coast and Southern portions in parts of Australia.

Regarding feeding, they can consume seabirds, fish and smaller sharks, which lifespan could reach up to 30 years.
