Snow to Unload in Nebraska, Michigan This Week; Motorists Advised to Be Careful with Slippery Road Conditions

According to the latest weather forecast, portions of Nebraska, Michigan, and others in the United States could expect snow this week.

However, the forecast warned that travel hazards could emerge.

New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Nebraska residents should expect snow accumulation starting Friday.

As many Americans are excited and preparing for Christmas shopping this weekend, the storm could cause travel disruptions and slow commutes in the affected areas.

With the snow expected to drop, the temperatures would become colder.

Meanwhile, snow accumulation would be ideal for many ski and snowboarding lovers.

 According to AccuWeather's latest weather update on December 9, the forecast said that the snowfall accumulations would not be as heavy or severe, but road conditions could be a problem for many motorists.

In addition, the forecast said that the storm could extend and produce snow in Detroit and Chicago this week.

The report added that portions of New York City, Washington D.C., Pittsburg and Philadelphia could experience above-freezing temperatures.

In the Weather Outlook from Thursday and Saturday morning, AccuWeather explained that snowfall would unload in Omaha, Sioux Falls, Sioux City, Minneapolis and Milwaukee.

AccuWeather's Senior Meteorologist Adam Douty said that the temperatures could become above freezing as the storm emerges, adding that the snow could unfold for several hours. It will allow for snow accumulations affecting central Plains and Western Great Lake region roads.

• On late Friday and Saturday morning, the report said that wintry mixed weather of rain and snow could unfold in Detroit and Erie.
• On Friday, the forecast added that rounds of rain could occur in northern Kansas and southern Nebraska, causing icy travel.
• The same day, the forecast said that the Lower Peninsula of Michigan could see snow accumulation in the evening on interstates 69, 75 and 96.

The beginning of meteorological winter and December reported severe weather conditions and snow unleashed in portions of the United States.

Travel conditions

Motorists planning or traveling should stay alert with the weather as the snow conditions could result in icy travel, slippery road conditions, reduced to poor road visibility and travel restrictions.

In addition, AccuWeather's forecast warned that the worst travel conditions could occur in eastern Nebraska, southeastern South Dakota, southern Minnesota and Iowa on Thursday night and Friday night.

Road accidents or crashes could occur on icy and slippery roads. When a storm unleashes heavy snow and strong winds, it is best to cancel your trip or reschedule.

Meanwhile, for motorists traveling on interstates (29, 35, 39, 80, 90 and 94), AccuWeather forecasted that wintry road conditions could emerge.

Furthermore, the forecast added that hazardous travel conditions could happen in Detroit on Friday evening.

Meanwhile, the wintry mix could result in travel hazards on Friday night until early Saturday in portions of the Interstates (76, 79, 80, 86 and 90).

On the other hand, the forecast said severe weather could emerge in Gulf Coast and Midwest starting next week.

Meanwhile, residents near the Northern Plains could expect blizzard conditions.
