The latest weather forecast showed that Roslyn, which reached a Category 3 hurricane, is downgraded to a tropical storm.

The storm pounded portions of west-central Mexico, causing damaging winds and heavy rains.

In a previous report, the NOAA National Hurricane Center advised that Tropical Storm Roslyn could cause rainfall conditions in southwestern and west-central Mexico.

A storm surge could result in coastal flooding with dangerous sea and threatening surf.

According to AccuWeather's current weather update, the report said Roslyn was the 17th named system of the 2022 season.

From being a tropical depression 19-E on Wednesday, Roslyn gained strength and became a tropical storm making landfall in Mexico on Sunday.

 AccuWeather and The New York Times reports said that Tropical Storm Roslyn's impact resulted in two deaths in Mexcaltitán and Rosamorada municipalities.

Meanwhile, AccuWeather reported that Tropical Storm Roslyn could impact through Monday, causing flooding rainfall, mudslides, rough surf, and power outages.

Weather moisture

The forecast also showed that Tropical Storm Roslyn could provide moisture to the potential severe weather conditions in the Southern United States.

Portions in the Southern U.S, especially in Texas and Oklahoma, have been experiencing moderate to extreme drought.

The severe storm, with added moisture from Tropical Storm Roslyn, could influence rainfall in the area.
