Leading Climate Change Denier to Hold the EPA in Trump's Administration

It looks like Donald Trump's climate change skepticism has finally boomed to full blown denial, as two sources from his campaign revealed that Trump is eyeing leading climate change denier Myron Ebell to lead the Environmental Protection Agency if he wins in this coming election.

Ebell, the director of the Center for Energy and Environment at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, has made a name for his prolific writings that questions what he dubbed as climate change alarmism.

According to the report from Climate Wire, Ebell's participation in the EPA transition could mean that Trump is planning some drastic changes in the climate policies pursued by the agency during Obama's administration.

Ebell's climate change denial is not relatively new. In his interview with Vanity Fair in 2007, he said "There has been a little bit of warming ... but it's been very modest and well within the range for natural variability, and whether it's caused by human beings or not, it's nothing to worry about."

In his most recent bout with environmentalists, Ebell called Obama's Clean Power Plan for greenhouse gases illegal. He even dubbed Obama's participation in the Paris climate change treaty as "an unconstitutional usurpation of the Senate's authority."

Earlier this year, presidential candidate Donald Trump has boldly announced that he will renegotiate America's role in the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Trump even noted that all of the agreements are bad for the United States and China, like other countries, will not adhere to the agreement.

Trump even tweeted that the concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.

In addition to Ebell as the head of EPA, the sources also gave names for the future leaders of the Energy Department and Interior Department. Mike McKenna, republican energy lobbyist, is said to be the new head of DOE, while David Bernhardt, former Interior Department solicitor, will lead the DOI.
