In Northern and Central California, homeowners should watch out for rainy outlooks and showers. 

The National Weather Service (NWS) monitors the development of a couple of cold fronts in the Midwest and Plains that could likely spread over the Gulf Coast and Southern Plains.

In the Upper Midwest, the colder air is expected in the late week. Light to moderate snowfall is likely in the region. In Northern and Central California, homeowners should watch out for rainy outlooks and showers.

In the Pacific Northwest, residents should anticipate a wetter weather outlook before Christmas outlook. Homeowners should watch out for beneficial rain in drought-affected areas, including mountain snow.

The Pacific Northwest has recently experienced flooding rainfall due to snowmelt and heavy rain. From December 17 to December 21, a pattern change in the weather will bring beneficial rainfall in the following areas:

• Seattle
• Spokane
• Portland
• Boise
• Medford
• Redding
• Reno
• Fresno
• Los Angeles
• San Diego
