The latest report showed that the green turtles in Pakistan have experienced habitat loss and pollution threats. Human activity has impacted their reproduction rates and survival.

Marine green turtles play a significant role in the environment. They may look small, but they are important to maintain the seagrass. Green turtles provide essential nutrients for marine animals and plants.

With the seagrass, it provides a crucial habitat for fish and other species. Pakistan is home to different marine turtles.

According to the reports, marine green turtles suffer from water pollution, plastic pollution, habitat loss, climate change, predation and fishing gear entanglement.

Turtle lays her eggs on Sandspit beach in Karachi. The nesting turtles in Pakistan have struggled to survive due to habitat loss, garbage threats and marine pollution, according to recent reports. Protecting the marine turtles will save them from population decline.

In the oceans, crabs and other marine animals kill the hatchlings from the sea marine turtles.

People spotted four green turtles in the port of Karachi as one green turtle was discovered laying turtle eggs.

Immediately, conservationists went to the area to look for the surviving marine turtles found in Pakistan. Researchers explained that protecting the hatchlings and green turtles is important for the animal species.

In addition, pollution has continued to impact the species. The increasing plastic and garbage in the sea has made it more challenging for green turtles to survive.

The vulnerable green turtles have also suffered from commercialization and human disturbance. The said threats can affect the green turtle reproduction and successful growth of their hatchlings.

Plastic pollution or debris on the beach can also affect the hatchlings of turtles in the sands. Proper disposal of plastics on beaches will be helpful for the marine turtles.

The emergence of plastic can affect the sand temperatures of hatchlings.

Amazing Turtle Facts That You Should Know

Turtles may be small moving creatures, but they play a significant role in marine biodiversity.

According to NOAA's report, sea turtles can potentially lay from 100 to 125 eggs. Once the hatchlings grow, people can see them crawling on the beach or way offshore.

In addition, turtles are known as deep divers. They can swim and submerge underwater to evade prey and look for food sources. When they form large groups, female turtles will gather together.

Based on recent reports, the sea turtles managed to outlive dinosaurs. They likely evolved 110 million years ago.

The life of young sea turtles has struggled against predators. The survivability is low for every 1,000 sea turtle eggs. Researchers explained that only one managed to become an adult sea turtle.

Sea turtles have a long life span from 50 to 70 years old.
