Northeastern US residents can still enjoy the last minute of summer as warm conditions are expected in the region this week. The unusual temperatures can relieve the stormy conditions and floods in the area.

Recently, portions of the Northeast and New York City (NYC) experienced flooding rainfall conditions that brought slower commutes and travel dangers.

The National Weather Service (NWS) reported that record highs are likely in the following areas:

  • Northeast
  • Upper Mississippi Valley
  • Great Lakes

In the Midwest, residents also experienced the heatwaves. However, the relief is forecast before the end of the week.

NESDIS via NOAA Satellite View as of October 3, 2023. Summer-like temperatures are expected this week in the Northeastern US, bringing relief from the relentless stormy conditions in the region. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Philippe will not impact parts of the US.

According to the latest weather forecast, the high pressure can bring dry conditions and warm outlook to the Northeast. The relief can be favorable for outdoor activities and people who will clean the aftermath of the devastating flood in NYC.

The temperatures can reach from the mid-60s and mid-70s. On Tuesday, the warm conditions are forecast in the following areas:

  • Detroit
  • Boston
  • New York City
  • Virginia Beach
  • Charleston
  • Pittsburgh
  • Columbus
  • Charleston
  • Burlington

In flood-stricken NYC, the advisory showed that an average high can be likely in Central Park. Residents can expect a dry and sunny weather outlook this midweek.

In the midweek, it can also be ideal for people who want to enjoy the ocean or sea.

However, Americans should still check the weather or bring an umbrella for sudden rain. On the other hand, the North winds can push Canada's wildfire smoke into NYC. People with medical conditions and older adults can be at risk of poor air quality.

Starting Thursday, the weather pattern can change due to stormy conditions and a cold front. Cooler weather outlook can be possible in Boston, Virginia Bech, Charleston, Pittsburgh and Buffalo.

Furthermore, the weather forecast in the Central US and Pacific Northwest showed that below-normal precipitation is likely this month.

As the fall weather began, the Northeast US and Western US noticed a rebound to below-average temperatures.

Prolonged exposure to heat can still cause heat-related health concerns, including heat exhaustion, heat stress and heat stroke.
