US Weather Forecast: At Least 100 Million People Under Threat of Heavy Rain, Severe Thunderstorms

Americans with outdoor plans should observe the weather until this week, as severe thunderstorms could result in dangerous travel and flooding risks.

The early weeks of August recorded damaging winds and weather in the Easter U.S., causing widespread power outages. In the Southwest, the troublesome heat could unleash soaring temperatures, resulting in increased fire risk and heat-related illnesses.

The recent National Weather Service (NWS) report showed that a severe thunderstorm watch was present in Alabama, Georgia, Texas and Oklahoma.

A tornado watch was issued in Arkansas.

New York City. The latest weather forecast showed that damaging winds and severe thunderstorms could hit parts of the Eastern and Central U.S this weekend.

Furthermore, AccuWeather's latest forecast showed that a severe weather outlook would be possible in parts of the Central and Eastern U.S

At least 100 million are under the severe weather this weekend due to the stormy outlook 

 Heavy rain risk is forecast in Springfield, Nashville, Memphis, Atlanta, and Asheville, which could likely result in flash flood risk and reduced road visibility.

Stormy conditions are also possible in Eastern Tennessee, Central Missouri, and Northern Georgia.

Everyone with travel plans should bring raincoat protection or an umbrella due to the chances of rounds of storms.

Meanwhile, the NWS advisory said that severe thunderstorm conditions could unleash in Central Plains, with possible severe gusts.

On Thursday, August 10, AccuWeather's forecast said rainy conditions could unfold in Detroit, Burlington, Charleston, Pittsburgh, Washington, Virginia Beach, and New York.

On the same day, potential isolated tornadoes and flash flooding can unload in Norfolk, Myrtle Beach, Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Knoxville.

This Friday, rounds of rain could be likely in New York, Washington, Philadelphia and Boston.

Meanwhile, the NWS Weather Prediction Center reported that oppressive heat could be felt in parts of the Southwest and Northwest US.

The heat conditions could be likely from August 13 to August 16, especially in Western Oregon, Southwest Washington and Northern Carolina.

The advisory reminded homeowners to prepare for the hotter conditions next weeks. Plants and animals can be vulnerable to soaring temperatures.

Furthermore, the advisory said that homeowners should stay hydrated and avoid any prolonged exposure to the hot weather.

Recently, NWN and CNN reported that extreme heat is considered deadlier than any other natural disasters, including hurricanes and tornadoes.

In the Midwest, AccuWeather's forecast warned that hail and local flash flooding are at risk in the Midwest.

On Friday, areas at risk are Minneapolis, Des Moines, Peoria, Chicago, and Green Bay.

The severe weather could also continue until the weekend. On Saturday, flooding downpours could hit Toronto, Detroit, Buffalo, Burlington, Montreal, Portland, Boston, New York, Pittsburgh, and Columbus.
