Americans with travel plans during the Memorial Day weekend should consider the weather conditions this week in the Southeast, as rounds of rain could be possible.

During the month of May, the Southeast experienced the brunt of severe weather conditions, from isolated tornadoes, damaging winds, large hail and thunderstorms.

North Carolina. The latest weather report said that heavy rain and coastal flooding could become possible in parts of the Southeast this weekend as many Americans prepared for the Memorial Day weekend.  

In the latest forecast, AccuWeather reported that the Southeast could likely experience a storm that could unload challenging winds and heavy rain.

The forecast added that coastal hazards could also emerge. People near the coasts should stay updated with the weather for the potential water rise.

Furthermore, the stormy forecast said that waterspouts could be likely. Rainy conditions could emerge in Roanoke, Charlotte and Charleston.

The forecast added that large hail could also unfold in Virginia, Georgia and Carolinas this weekend.

National Weather Service (NWS) reported that an unsettled pattern could bring thunderstorms and heavy showers to High Plains and Inter-mountain West.

Due to the chances of heavy rain, the report warned of possible urban flooding.

AccuWeather rainfall conditions could be possible from Thursday night to Sunday in Columbia, Charlotte, Raleigh, Jacksonville, Blacksburg, Virginia Beach, Wilmington, Savannah and Columbia.

Travelers and motorists in the Southeastern United States should bring an umbrella and anticipate the weather for travel delays and slower commutes.

Furthermore, the weather report explained the windy conditions this weekend. Homeowners should secure their outdoor equipment to avoid being blown away.

The forecast said that windy conditions could emerge in Raleigh, Columbia and Wilmington.

Beachgoers should also consider the potential coastal hazards this week. The forecast said rough surf and dangerous boat conditions could likely be near Jacksonville, Charleston and Virginia Beach.

In addition, the NWS advisory showed that beachgoers should be careful of coastal hazards on Gulf Coasts.

On Monday, there could be a slight change in the weather conditions. Based on the weather outlook, unseasonably warm weather is expected in Pittsburg. Potential showers could emerge in Charlotte, Washington, Charleston and Atlanta.

Furthermore, the NWS Storm Prediction Center monitored the potential weather risk in Southeast New Mexico and West Texas.
