According to ABS-CBN News and CNN Philippines' latest reports, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said that the earthquake struck Masbate province on Thursday morning (Philippine Time).

The report added that aftershocks also emerged after the earthquake, reaching 3 to 4 magnitude.
