However, AccuWeather's latest weather forecast (February 7, 2023) explained that springlike patterns and a touch of spring would be noticeable this week.
Mild conditions are expected to stretch to the Midwest and Northeast.
A rebound to warmer temperatures would unload from Thursday to Friday in Chicago, Indianapolis, Louisville, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Washington, New York, Syracuse, Boston and Charlotte.
The temperatures would be suitable for outdoor activities and people with travel plans.
Chances of rain and snow
On the other hand, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported that significant rain would unleash in the Southwest this Wednesday.
Heavy rain is expected to unload in parts of Missouri and Illinois. In addition, NWS warned of possible thunderstorms.
NWS added that freezing rain and snow are expected in Northern Michigan this week. The weather forecast explained that wind gusts would reach from 30mph to 40 mph.
In the latest AccuWeather forecast, the weather report showed that rain and snow would unload in the Northeast from Friday night to Saturday night.
- Rounds of rain would unleash in Virginia Beach, Washington, New York, Boston and Portland.
- In contrast, snow would dump in Pittsburgh, Columbus, Detroit, Buffalo and Burlington. Meanwhile, Charleston can expect cold temperatures.
- The forecast noted that Connecticut and Philadelphia would notice frigid conditions this week.
According to NBC New York, New York recorded a measurable snowfall during the first week of February. The snowfall ended the snowless streak in NYC that reached over 300 days.
Meanwhile, the forecast said that NYC would anticipate milder to rainy weather this week. It is best to bring an umbrella before leaving your home.
On the other hand, the snowy conditions in portions of the Northeast could result in slower commutes and travel disruptions.
