Severe weather conditions are expected to unfold in portions of Southern United this week, unloading flooding downpours, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes.

Residents in the forecasted and affected areas should stay updated with the severe weather conditions.

Outbreaks of isolated tornadoes could become life-threatening, especially in Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Recent reports noted that Alabama and Georgia declared state emergencies last week as tornado outbreaks were reported, leaving widespread damage and casualties.

Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana were commonly hit by tornadoes last year, leaving significant damages and power outages.

AccuWeather explained that rain and possible thunderstorms could emerge starting Monday.

Therefore, those outdoor planning activities should consider the current weather, and bringing an umbrella is necessary.

Meanwhile, the storm in California could bring snow and travel concerns in Chicago and Denver.

In addition, the forecast noted that the storm could bring severe weather to eastern Texas and the lower Mississippi Valley.

In California, the relentless rain in the region helped with the drought conditions. In Mississippi, the coming severe weather would benefit the drought-stricken Mississippi River.

On Monday, AccuWeather's outlook showed that parts of the United States could expect wintry shower conditions.

  • Rain with possible thunderstorms is expected in Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tucson, Chicago and Houston.
  • Chilly and snow would unload in Minneapolis and Chicago.
  • Residents in Atlanta could receive mild weather conditions. While, the chilly condition is forecasted in New York, Boston and Washington D.C.

On the other hand, the National Weather Service reported that heavy snow could unload in portions of the Southwest as the storm intensifies in Central U.S. this week.

The NWS warned that high winds with possible fire hazards could unfold in the Southern Plains.

During midweek, the forecast added that severe thunderstorms could unload on Wednesday until Wednesday night, causing damaging wind gusts, isolated tornadoes and torrential downpours.

  • Residents in New Orleans should also get prepared for possible severe weather conditions.

On Thursday, AccuWeather added that severe weather could cause possible flash floods and damaging wind gusts in Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, Montgomery and Birmingham.

The report noted that severe weather conditions could unleash isolated tornadoes.

According to Reuters, Alabama and Georgia suffered from tornado outbreaks last week, causing casualties and property damage.

As a result, people in the affected areas must prepare for possible tornadoes.
