[UK Weather] Unsettled Rain and Localized Flooding to Unload This Week; Portions of Scotland Under Yellow Warning

According to a recent report, the weather in the United Kingdom could expect more unsettled rain and windy conditions this week.

Meanwhile, portions of Scotland are under the yellow warning.

Bringing an umbrella and raincoat jacket would be recommendable this week as rounds of rain could unload anytime.

Heavier rain is expected.

The midweek in the UK would receive more rain as many people returned from the New Year's celebration and holiday.

According to The Guardian's forecast, this week could expect unsettled rain until Friday.

The forecast said that heavier rain would be most noticeable in the west.

• The forecast said 17 flood warnings were issued in England (Tuesday night).
• Meanwhile, 17 flood alerts were issued in Scotland, according to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.

Motorists traveling or planning for the outdoor activity should check their local weather forecast before leaving.

Meanwhile, the forecast said that yellow and gale warnings were also issued in portions of Scotland.

People on the coasts should observe the weather conditions for the potential rise of seawater.

Furthermore, the report said that windy conditions could also unfold as the rounds of rain unload.

According to meteorologist Tom Morgan, the weather would be unsettled this week, adding that portions of the Brecon Beacons, Highlands of Scotland and Snowdonia could be affected.

Travel delays

Motorists should anticipate potential travel delays and slower commutes this week due to heavy rain.

The report urged motorists to check the weather conditions and be cautious driving.

Wet and slippery roads could be expected, resulting in dangerous travel.

Flood warnings

Meanwhile, the Met Office's recent advisory said that the forecast for January 4 to January 8, could see mild and unsettled weather, adding a potential flooding threat.

According to the forecast, people in the UK could expect showery rain in northern portions of the country.

On the other hand, patchy frost to mild conditions could unfold in the far north.

On Thursday, the Met Office forecast said that rounds of rain could unleash in the southwest with windy conditions.

On the other hand, the National Weather Service's recent advisory that the weather in the U.S. could cause heavy rain and strong winds in California.

Meanwhile, portions of the country in the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest experience heavy snow and potential winter storm due to the severe weather conditions.

The forecast said significant travel delays could also occur this week.
