With days before the much-awaited Christmas and Holiday season, the latest weather forecast warned that heavy snow could unload in the Central United States this week, resulting in significant travel delays in Dallas, Houston and Oklahoma.

The recent forecasts noted that snow could unload in portions of the United States.

As Christmas Holiday is in the air, the weather could be a mixture of rain and snow.

Heavy Snow

Snow lovers would love the view of snow, while others began to remove the snow on their roofs.

Residents who have reported a swath of snow should be careful in snow removal.

On the other hand, AccuWeather's latest weather forecast revealed that snow is expected to unload in portions of the central United States.

The snow would bring colder weather in the region with the reported arctic blast.

  • The forecast said that snow could unfold in eastern Kansas and Missouri. Kansas experienced snow on Monday.
  • Missouri, Omaha and Nebraska are expected to receive snow this week.

With the snow, the report said that it would be challenging for many motorists to travel to the affected areas due to reduced visibility and slippery roads.

The snow could result in slow commutes and travel delays.

In other portions of the United States, the previous report revealed that a storm in the Rockies and Northwest could cause strong winds and heavy snow.

Residents and motorists in the Northwest should be careful with their travel.

As many Americans plan to go outside for shopping or groceries, it could be challenging for commuters due to the severe weather conditions.

Recently, weather agencies recorded that the country could suffer from heavy snow and winter storms as the Christmas season comes near.

Weather and cold preparations

The cold temperatures and blasts of colder air could bring colder weather to the U.S. you and your family must be aware of the weather so that you can easily explain it to them.

Knowing how you would deal with the colder weather is best, especially if it could cause cold-related health concerns.

Be careful with travel hazards.

Even in the previous reports, weather forecasts emphasized that heavy snow and blizzard conditions could result in travel hazards, including reduced road visibility.

Road accidents and significant delays are the most common.

Checking the road for safety is ideal because weather conditions could become extremely dangerous.

Monitoring road safety hazards for affected areas would give insights into road closures and rerouting.

Heating system

The heating system would be efficient during the impact of a snowstorm or winter storm.

As reported, the blast of arctic air would bring colder to freezing weather.

Although heating is recommendable, many families cannot afford it due to the high costs.

Other options could be considered, including electric blankets, hot water bottles and wearing appropriate winter clothes.

Exposure to colder weather

Experts emphasized that many could be vulnerable during the height of very cold to freezing weather. Prolonged exposure to colder weather could end up with related health risks.
