Giraffe Euthanized After 'Significant Fall' At Houston Zoo
An eight-year-old male giraffe was recently euthanized at the Houston Zoo in Texas after taking what zookeepers call a "significant fall." After several hours, zookeepers were unable to get the giraffe back on his feet, which indicates he would not be able stand and therefore to recover from the injury.
