60-Year-Old Man Dies After Tour Boat Capsizes in New York's Underground Cave

June 06, 2023 in New York City. Recent reports showed that a 60-year-old man died after being stuck when a tour boat unexpectedly capsized in a cave in Erie Canal, Upstate New York. Others who were part of the boat were brought to the nearest hospital.

One died and others were brought to hospitals after a tour boat capsized in an underground cave in Erie Canal in Upstate New York.

It was supposedly a happy tour for 28 visitors who were aboard the boat when it suddenly flipped over.

According to AccuWeather and CNN reports, the boat was under the operation of the Lockport Cave and the Underground Boat Ride.

When the boat flipped, the report explained that people aboard were thrown into the water.

According to Lockport Fire Chief Luca Quagliano, rescuers found the boat upside down, with the visitors found safely on the top of a capsized boat.

The authorities said they would investigate the incident.

The casualty was identified 60-year-old man who was stuck under when the boat capsized.

The report noted that they rescued 16 people, as the others found their way to safety.

Meanwhile, 11 people were brought to the nearby hospitals as they suffered from injuries.

Furthermore, the report noted that the tour is considered a familiarization tour for the employees.

Rough Surf in Jersey Store

Meanwhile, Daily Mail reported that a New York City Firefighter drowned after he tried to save his daughter, who was swept away by rough waters on the Jersey shore.

The rough water became challenging for the teenage daughter, and so, the father came to the rescue.

Immediately, rescuers went to the area and quickly rescued the woman. However, they could not find the father.

Based on the recent report, the father was Mark Batista.

Tourist Boat in Northern Italy

On May 30, Nature World News (NWN) also reported that a tourist boat suddenly capsized in Lake Maggiore in Northern Italy.

The report explained that the boat carried 22 tourists. In the BBC and CNN reports, four people were reported casualties after it sank.

The tourist boat would celebrate a birthday party when severe weather emerged, causing difficulty navigating the area.
