As the first week of May began, recent weather reports showed that a chilly weather pattern is forecast in parts of the Northeast and Midwest.

Unseasonably chilly air is forecast this March in parts of the United States. Although the spring season is in the air, the forecast noted that colder conditions could still continue this week.

Recently, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported that severe weather conditions could be likely in parts of Southern Oklahoma and Northwest Texas this week, causing potential thunderstorms and isolated tornadoes.

The weather advisory added that scattered hai conditions could be the concern for this week in parts of Central Texas, with potential severe gusts.

Chilly weather conditions in the Northeast

While some parts of the country experience severe weather outlook, AccuWeather's latest forecast showed that unseasonably cold conditions could emerge in parts of the Northeast and Midwest this week.

Based on May's outlook, the weather forecast, cooler conditions are forecast in parts of Chicago, Boston, New York City, Washington and Jackson.

  • Meanwhile, milder conditions could emerge in Billings, Denver and El Paso.
  • Cool and wetter conditions could be likely in Seattle and San Francisco.

Parts of the Midwest could also feel the colder and unusual chill this week. However, the chilly conditions are expected to move in parts of the East this coming weekend.

While the weather could offer relief from warmer temperatures, homeowners should still stay updated with the weather for potential rounds of rain.

On the other hand, the NWS Storm Prediction Center reported that potential severe weather and tornado watch could unfold in parts of the Northwest, North-Central TX, and Southwest.

Motorists traveling to the said areas should keep alert for the severe weather that could result in potential travel hazards.

As the hurricane season comes in, the NWS's advisory explained the importance of keeping multiple information for severe weather and hurricane warnings.

Milder conditions this week

This weekend, the forecast noted that milder conditions could be likely this week. The forecast showed that afternoon highs could be possible this week, reaching 60s and 70s.

Dry conditions could unfold in parts of Burlington, Portland, Boston, New York City, Washington, Charleston, Pittsburgh and Detroit.

In other parts of the country, the forecast showed that rain and possible thunderstorms could be likely in Minneapolis, Kansas City, Memphis, Dallas, Houston, Charlotte, Houston, Jacksonville and Miami.

On the other hand, the forecast said spring warmth could emerge in parts of the United States, especially in the Midwest and Northeast.

In other parts of the U.S, the forecast showed that severe weather could unfold in Great Plains and Mississippi Valley.

Through Thursday night, severe thunderstorms could be possible, causing flooding downpours, isolated tornadoes and damaging wind gusts.

The forecast said severe thunderstorms could unfold in Oklahoma City, Dallas, Waco, San Antonio, San Angelo and Wichita Falls.
