Heavy and Wet Snow Caused Motorists Stranded for 8 Hours in Colorado

According to a recent weather report, motorists became stranded for eight hours in portions of Colorado due to heavy and wet snow unloading.

Motorists felt the burden of traveling to portions of Denver and Colorado as the weather conditions became chaotic. Road crashes were also reported.

The heavy snow and wet conditions resulted in long-hour commutes and delays as crews helped with the snow removal. The snow in Colorado became problematic as many motorists became stranded on Interstate 70.

According to AccuWeather's recent report (December 30, 20220), the weather agency explained that multiple roads crashes occurred on Interstate 70, causing hours delayed in the area. The news report added most motorists were stranded in the Veterans Memorial Tunnel.

On the other hand, the weather report said significant travel delays happened on Interstate 25 as some vehicles became stuck from the heavy snow.

More challenging about the travel was the area's slick roads and ice conditions. Motorists had to remove snow from their cars as they waited for the roads to ease heavy traffic.

AccuWeather explained that the snow unloaded two to three inches. The crews in the area helped with the snow removal, but the weather unloaded more snow than usual.
