Those planning to travel for shopping or outdoor activities on the West Coast should note the current weather conditions. It is best to check the weather forecasts to avoid the hassle of rain and snow.

The weather is expected to become better starting Monday.

Portions of the West Coast have reported bad weather conditions during the beginning of December. Due to wet and slippery roads, three separate road accidents occurred recently in Santa Clarita, California.

Meanwhile, AccuWeather's latest forecast (December 10, 2022) showed that a storm could spread over the West Coast, bringing inclement weather to California. The stormy forecast said that rain and snow would emerge starting Friday.

West Coast Weather

Residents in the area should bring rain protection, including an umbrella or raincoat, as rounds of rain will persist until the weekend.

According to Stormy's Saturday forecast, AccuWeather reported that a mixture of rain and snow would unload. Snow is expected in Vancouver, Portland and Helena. Meanwhile, both rain and now would emerge in Boise.

  • The forecast added that heavy snow could unload starting Friday until Sunday. The heavy snow could cause travel disruptions and potential road closures.
  • Portions of the Bay Area could record one to two inches of rain. Meanwhile, beneficial rain with potential thunderstorms could unload in Southern California, but the rain would not be severe.
  • On Saturday and Sunday, San Diego residents could expect heavy rain.

In addition, the rain on the West Coast would help residents and communities suffering from prolonged drought.

Starting Saturday, the forecast added that a major storm would continue until Sunday, causing feet of snow over the Sierra Nevada, flooding, significant travel disruptions and beneficial rainfall. The storm could impact portions of Portland, San Francisco, Boise, Spokane and Los Angeles.

Snow lovers should see snowfall starting Saturday night. According to the AccuWeather forecast, snowfall could emerge on Saturday night until Sunday morning, which could occur in Boise, Pocatello, Salt Lake City and Elko.

  • The forecast also added that accumulating snow could be noticeable in Utah and, Idaho, Montana this weekend.

Next week's forecast

Those thinking about the weather next week could expect much cooler temperatures starting Monday in portions of Reno, Fresno, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver and Casper.

On the other hand, the previous report that a developing storm could impact portions of the Central United States, causing tornadoes and blizzard conditions starting Monday.

As reported, the forecast noted that the weather on West Coast could result in significant travel disruptions as many Americans rushed to prepare the Christmas Holiday. Accidents could emerge anytime on the slippery or slick roads, so checking the road hazards is important before traveling.

Cold-related health risks could happen anytime because the weather is now colder than before. Wearing layered winter clothes could ease the freezing weather.

Meanwhile, mountain snow could also occur. Those who have plans for mountain hiking in the affected hazards should observe mountain snow hazards.
