Severe weather conditions caused thunderstorms, heavy rain, and snow in portions of the United States, including in the South-Central U.S., Midwest, Northwestern, and Northeast.

According to a recent report published on the Phys.org website, 70% of Texas suffered from drought, causing concerns for many farmers and residents.

The report noted that the drought conditions in Texas could cause wildfires and take a heavy toll on farmers with reduced crop yields.

As the calendar changes into December, a much-relief rain and improvement in drought conditions unfolded. The report noted that the rainfall contributed to mitigating the drought conditions.

In the U.S. Drought Monitor, the rainfall helped reduce extreme drought's impact. The record showed an improved condition emerged, with 38% only having a severe drought.

The widespread rainfall offered relief after the prolonged drought, showing a significant change in North Texas, Dallas County, Rockwall County, and Collin County.

Meanwhile, the report added that Texas also showed improvement from the drought. The record showed that only 15% of Texas suffers from extreme drought.

The rain showers until the end of November were important to alleviate the drought conditions that persisted for many weeks in the affected regions.

According to the report, the much-needed rain provided short-term relief, helping to fill the reservoir with water. The rain could also lower the chance of potential wildfires due to exceptional drought.

The report also said that the coming winter could help with the drought. However, forecasts noted that drought in the area could return.

On the other hand, the previous forecast added that a storm with weather conditions could unload in the South-Central United States, affecting around 30 million people in the said area.

The report added that the severe weather could unleash heavy rain and high winds with thunderstorms. Potential tornadoes could also emerge as many prepare for the first week of December and the winter season.

Furthermore, the forecast added that Indiana, Illinois, and Texas could feel the brunt of the severe weather conditions. Residents near or in the affected areas should keep updated with the weather reports, especially the emergence of hails and tornadoes.

The impact of severe weather conditions could cause significant travel hazards. People planning travel or outdoor activities should monitor the weather before leaving their homes.

Due to potential strong winds and thunderstorms, the forecast warned that it could cause power outages. Furthermore, heavy rains could result in small and urban flooding.

People going outside should always bring an umbrella or rain protection because rounds of rain could persist until this week.

Ultimately, the rain in Texas could alleviate the area's drought conditions, offering relief to many residents and farmers.Ultimately, the rain in Texas could alleviate the area's drought conditions, offering relief to many residents and farmers.
