Travelers and residents should expect severe weather conditions that could lead to travel hazards.

Weather forecasts also advised staying updated with the developing storm as everyone takes time to enjoy the much-anticipated Thanksgiving.

In the latest weather update on November 23, AccuWeather reported that portions of the southeastern and south-central U.S. would expect the storm's impact, bringing heavy flooding rainfall.

With the weather's impact, the report noted that it could cause travel hazards and delays from the Day of Thanksgiving until the weekend.

AccuWeather's outlook showed that the stormy weather would unload starting Thursday to Saturday, which could cause localized flooding and affect sports activities.

Rain with thunderstorms could unfold in portions of Dallas, Houston, Miami, Atlanta, Nashville, and Washington, D.C.

Residents near the coasts should be vigilant for the potential rise of seawater.

Meanwhile, the report noted that the rounds of rain from the storm could drench portions of Mississippi that have suffered from a long drought.

In addition, portions of South and West Carolina, Texas, Northern Louisiana, and Georgia could expect the same rounds of rain starting Thursday.

Weather outlook

During Thanksgiving, AccuWeather's outlook showed the following:

  • Dry and milder temperatures could emerge n San Francisco and Los Angeles.
  • Rain and thunderstorms could occur in Houston, Dallas, Memphis, Kansas City, and Chicago. Meanwhile, snow showers can be seen in Denver and Minneapolis.
  • Chill weather will unfold in Billings. In contrast, both rain and snow could emerge in El Paso.
  • Bad travel conditions can be expected in New Orleans and Louisiana.
  • Dallas and Houston could anticipate heavy rain starting Wednesday night until Friday.
  • Portions of central Florida could expect rain showers starting Friday until the weekend.

Travel delays, flooding

On Friday, the weather outlook would result in gusty winds, occasional downpours, travel delays, and slippery main roads.

Motorists should drive carefully as the weather could cause poor road visibility.

If the travel is unimportant, it is best to reschedule for other days.

Based on the stormy outlook on Friday, thunderstorms could unfold in Houston, Jacksonville, Miami, Atlanta, and Charlotte.

Rain downpours could also occur in Dallas, Memphis, Washington, New York, and Boston.

Meanwhile, the updated weather said El Paso could expect rain and snow. Furthermore, thunderstorms could emerge in Houston, Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Charlotte.

According to AccuWeather's latest update, thunderstorms and rain could unleash on Saturday. Cold and windy weather could be expected in Dallas and San Antonio.

Rain showers could occur in Oklahoma City, Wichita, Little Rock, Jackson, New Orleans, Jacksonville, and Lexington.

Meanwhile, the forecast added that thunderstorms and rain could unload in St. Louis, Nashville, Atlanta, and Tampa.

Furthermore, the report added snow could be expected in Santa Fe, Amarillo, and Lubbock starting Thursday night to Saturday morning.
