As the spring season comes near the United States, weather forecasts reported a big warmup and spring-like temperatures in the country.

The month of February became challenging for parts of the United States due to rounds of winter storms, severe weather conditions, tornadoes and heavy rain.

Recently, Eastern U.S. and the South recorded a big warmup of temperatures and an early taste of spring season.

Although forecasts showed that the winter season was warmer, severe winter storms unloaded heavy snow.

In previous forecasts, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported that winter storms unleashed snow in Upper Midwest, Northeast and Southern California.

The winter storms caused significant travel disruptions and power outages.

Spring-like temperatures

According to AccuWeather, the early taste of the spring season reached parts of Indianapolis, New York City and Pittsburgh.

Based on the weather outlook, March and April could lead to more rain.

The drought-stricken Mississippi Valley could also benefit from rain during the spring.

Meanwhile, the Old Farmer's Almanac explained astronomical spring unfolds based on the Earth's position and the Sun.

The weather report also added that astronomical spring could happen within March 20 in the Northern Hemisphere, according to AccuWeather.

On the other hand, The Guardian reported the signs of early blooms in Washington D.C, Virginia, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

In Washington D.C., reports showed the early and unusual signs of bloom of rare cherry blossoms.

According to Cherry Blossom Watch Washington D.C., the cherry blossom trees could unfold or bloom in March's last week and April's first week.

Winter storms in the U.S.

According to the National Weather Prediction Center, a developing winter storm is expected to unleash in the Northeast, Great Lakes, Central Plains and New England.

The forecasts said that heavy snow and challenging winds could cause travel delays and slower commutes due to the slippery roads and slick conditions.

As a result, homeowners and motorists should stay updated with the weather conditions this week.
