The Rosetta mission team has finally released the last batch of images of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko taken by the spacecraft.
After the Rosetta mission is over, The European Space Agency is looking at launching new missions, including two smaller comet proposals and probes to Mars, Mercury, Jupiter and the sun.
During its exploration of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, the Rosetta probe detected magnetic field oscillations that were later converted into sound. As the probe prepares for its finale, the comet sings a new song.
ESA's Rosetta mission will formally end on Sept. 30. A collision maneuver will be executed that will send Rosetta to free fall into the comet.
ESA’s Rosetta probe has captured images of a burst of light from the comet 67P. The outburst was said to be caused by a landslide.
ESA has released a video of the Rosetta probe’s two-year journey around the comet 67P.
