In coastal Maine, residents suffered from ice and snow, causing widespread power outages. NWS New York reveals that another cold outlook can hit on Tuesday. People can expect below-freezing temperatures, with wind gusts reaching around 25 mph.

In Boston, the advisory shows that rain is likely on Wednesday or Thursday night. In the midweek, the scattered rain can become heavier and widespread in the region. People in low-lying areas or near rivers are vulnerable to small to severe flooding risks.

In addition, Pittsburgh can anticipate a rainy outlook. A wind advisory was also issued in the region, with gusts can reach up to 50 mph. Due to a strong wind outlook, enhanced fire weather danger can unfold due to breezy outlook and dry conditions.

In Chicago, gusty winds and severe thunderstorms are likely. The advisory warns of localized heavy rainfall, including on Interstate 55. On Tuesday morning, potentially strong to severe thunderstorms can occur, with damaging winds and brief tornadoes.

On the other hand, Houston residents can expect isolated thunderstorms this week. Travelers should watch out for hazardous seas and winds. At night, temperatures will become cooler.

Weather Preparedness in Spring

Staying updated with the latest forecasts can help anticipate a poor weather outlook in the Northeast. In spring, severe thunderstorms can hit parts of the US, bringing tornado threats and hail conditions.

Although winter is almost over, homeowners should still stay alert for late winter storms. When the weather becomes severe, limiting outdoor activities is advisable.
