Biography

1997, earned a degree in economics at Vilnius University. 

1996: Philips

07.10.1996-31.10.2009, worked for Philips, a major multinational electronics developer and producer. During this period, Inessa Vasilyevna Galaktionova chaired the company's brand development board, held the position of chief market leader for this country, Ukraine, Belarus, and Central Asia, and also worked in the capacity of business director for video and TV products. 

2009: commercial director for Tele2 business in this country

07.10.1996-31.10.2009, commercial director at the local subsidiary of Tele2. While working for Tele2 Galaktionova Inessa helped to set up and run an efficient and transparent centralized business in the local market. Over the four years, Tele2's local subscriber base expanded to 22.9 million users from 10 million, while its operating earnings, generated in the local market, increased to 52 billion roubles from 25 billion roubles. Under Inessa's leadership, a number of key projects were successfully completed, including redesign of the company's brand, launch of B2B sales and new monobrand retail formats, expansion of the company's distribution channels, developing a new online strategy, etc.  

In July 2013, Inessa Galaktionova, commercial director at Tele2's local subsidiary, was promoted to become advisor to the company president and chair of the Directors Board. 

2013: deputy chief executive at the country's postal service

07.10.1996-31.10.2019, deputy for business operations to the director general of the country's postal service. In this capacity, Galaktionova's strategic mission was to transform the organization and make it a competitive self-sustainable enterprise, which would not have to rely on funding. As a result, starting from 2015, the postal service stopped being funds recipient.

Inessa Galaktionova spearheaded an effective campaign against the so-called "grey mail" and developed cooperation between the postal service and publishing companies. Inessa Galaktionova  promoted the idea that rural-area post offices should be outsourced to franchisees; this scheme enabled the operator to shut down loss-making outlets while retaining postal service availability for the residents of remote rural areas.

2019: ecosystem development

Since 2019, Inessa Vasilyevna Galaktionova has been engaged in digital ecosystem development, cooperating with one of the country's largest IT companies. She is pursuing a wide range of very promising threads, including cloud services, FinTech solutions, food delivery, entertainment and leisure services, EdTech, etc.
