A happy beach experience for a 13-year-old girl became horrific after she was attacked by a shark on a Florida beach, requiring 19 stitches due to injuries.

Recently, reports of shark attacks occurred in places in Australia and Hawaii. Shark attacks can become life-threatening or dangerous for beachgoers.

According to reports, AccuWeather and ABC News reported that a shark attacked a 13-year-old girl as she stayed in shallow water.

The incident was unexpected as the shark approached and attacked the girl who was on the waters beach with her friend staying on a jetty.

Based on recent reports, the girl was identified as Ella Reed, who has visited beaches.

Meanwhile, the report added that the girl tried to punch the shark, which was believed to be a bull shark measuring about five to six feet.

However, the report noted that the shark was powerful enough to injure and attack the young girl's stomach and parts of her arm.

Furthermore, Reed told WPLG that she was shocked about the attack and, at first, felt no pain due to the adrenaline rush.

According to AccuWeather, Reed yelled to her nearby friend, immediately alerting her to leave the water.

When Reed's mother took her daughter to safety, she brought it to the nearby local Fire Department. Reed was rushed to the hospital, which required 19 stitches.

Other shark attacks

Furthermore, Nature World News (NWN) also reported other shark attacks.

Based on the CBS News and CNN reports, a shark attack happened on a beach in South Australia. Search and rescue were deployed in the area after a 46-year-old high school teacher went missing.

The high school teacher was on the coast of South Australia after the victim was attacked. Investigation showed that emergency services found pieces of wetsuit and surfboard remains that were believed to belong to the victim.

The report added that it would undergo forensics to confirm if it belonged to the missing school teacher.

On the other hand, ABC News reported that a fisherman in a kayak was attacked by a shark on Hawaii's coast.

The report revealed that a tiger shark attacked the fisherman's kayak on Oahu's coast.

Shark attacks can be dangerous. As a result, it is best that surfers and beachgoers should check the water environment or area before they go swimming.

In addition, beachgoers should go to beaches with patrolling lifeguards. Lifeguards help to monitor the beach area for possible sharks.

When a shark is around the area, staying away is essential to avoid potential dangers.
