As March nears, the final week of February will bring severe weather conditions and isolated tornadoes in the South-Central United States this week, the latest weather forecasts warned.

The South is no longer stranger to tornadoes and severe weather events, especially in Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana.

Weather agencies advised residents to keep updated with the weather this week due to the threat of tornadoes, especially at night.

The month of February would become problematic for motorists and commuters this week.

AccuWeather has been monitoring the developments of weather in the United States.

According to the latest forecast, a weather pattern would unload severe weather conditions in the South this week.

The weather agency added that the severe weather would become more troublesome at night, considering that the storm system would unleash damaging winds and hail.

Recently, weather reports showed that the South would experience a big warmup after experiencing a dangerous ice storm during the first week of February.

According to AccuWeather's outlook, the severe thunderstorms could also unleash isolated tornadoes this weekend.

Wind gusts could reach up to 75 mph.

The forecast said that possible thunderstorms are forecast in Dallas, Little Rock, Spring Field and Kansas City.

Moderate, severe weather conditions would unload in Oklahoma.

There is also a possibility that Texas Panhandle and Oklahoma will experience severe thunderstorms this weekend.

Motorists and commuters should check the weather forecasts for possible road delays and slower commutes due to severe thunderstorms.

Major winter storm in the Northeast

On the other hand, the National Weather Prediction Center's latest key message said that a significant winter storm is forecast in parts of California and the Northeast.

The advisory said that mountain snow would unfold over the weekend.

There is also a possibility of blizzard-like conditions and heavy snow.

The weather advisory warned of dangerous commutes or hazardous travel conditions.

In addition, the storm system could damage power lines and trees.

Furthermore, cold temperatures are expected to soar due to the snow conditions in Southern California and the Northeast.

The American Red Cross emphasized staying warm during frigid weather due to potential hypothermia and frostbite.
