The latest weather forecast said New York City (NYC) had recorded a lack of measurable snowfall due to warming conditions and less snow.

New Yorkers are still hopeful for measurable snowfall this season in the coming weeks. Although light snow unloads in NYC, it was insufficient to reach a recorded snowfall.

Meanwhile, portions of the United States reported severe weather risks and rounds of rain.

  • According to Associated Press (AP), Californians began to recover from the relentless storm in the state, unloading heavy rain and mountain snow. The flooding rainfall in California helped to bring relief to drought-stricken areas.
  • Meanwhile, the New York Times reported that portions of the South could expect severe weather conditions this week. The report said that about 15 million people could be affected by the weather.
  • In the South, the latest weather update urged Houston and New Orleans people to stay alert for tornado outbreaks.

In New York City, residents and motorists have experienced light snow and rounds of rain. However, the snow was not enough.

Meanwhile, AccuWeather reported that NYC recorded a lack of measurable snowfall for about 300 days. The report said that only a trace of snow was unleashed in the state.

On Tuesday, the National Weather Service (NWS) in New York said that residents and motorists would anticipate dry weather.

In addition, there is also a chance of rain and cloudy weather. It is best to bring an umbrella and raincoat protection as rain could unfold during the day.

NWS New York also reported that Central Park did not record measurable snowfall.

AccuWeather explained that the dry and warm conditions would become a factor with less snow and lack of measurable snowfall.

However, there could be a chance to bring measurable snowfall depending on the weather conditions in the coming days. While there is winter, there is still a chance.
