The latest weather forecast warned that a storm could bring heavy rainfall and flooding to portions of the United States, including in Ohio, Tennessee River Valleys and Red River.

As the cold air brings colder weather, it is expected that the rain could unload rain causing risks of flooding.

Residents in the affected areas should stay updated with the storm.

Many Americans are now prepared for the coming Holiday and Christmas, but the tumultuous weather could disrupt outdoor activities and shopping, especially this week.

The beginning of December unloaded a round of rain and snow as the meteorological winter began.

Heavy rain and flooding risk

According to AccuWeather's latest forecast (December 5), the report said that the weather agency warned of potential tumultuous weather in the eastern United States.

The forecast added that risks of flooding and snow could emerge in portions of the United States this week or next week.

The weather outlook starting Monday could record heavy rainfall setup and wet weather.

People traveling outside or enjoying outdoor activities should bring an umbrella and raincoat.

AccuWeather reported that wet weather could emerge in the southern U.S., Rockies and Gulf of Mexico starting Monday morning.

In the weather outlook from Monday to Wednesday, the forecast said that heavy rainfall is expected in portions of Lubbock, Evansville, and Atlanta.

In addition, the forecast said that rain could unload on Monday in eastern Oklahoma and Northeastern Texas.

On the other hand, portions of Tennessee Valley and Ohio Valley could expect rain from Tuesday to Wednesday.

The forecast added rain showers with thunderstorms that could unleash in eastern Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.

The weather report said rainfall could occur in Little Rock, Birmingham, Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis and Louisville.

However, the rain could also help ease drought in the said areas.

The weather outlook added that rainfall could unloa, helping ease drought conditions ng Monday until Wednesday, causing slow travel and potential flooding.

Helping ease drought conditions

The forecast said that the heaviest rain could happen in portions of Northern Mississippi, northern Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia and Tennessee.

The rain could also help ease drought-stricken areas in the United States. Based on AccuWeather's forecast and the U.S Drought Monitor, severe drought is reported in Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee.

As the Christmas season comes near, storms and severe weather conditions are expected to bring colder weather and beneficial rain to portions of the United States.

It would help homes and farmers to alleviate the dry and drought conditions.

In the previous report, portions of Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama suffered from severe weather conditions and violent tornadoes that caused widespread power outages and damaged infrastructures and properties.

Residents planning for an outdoor activity or travel should always check the weather updates for potential potent storms or severe weather conditions.

Meanwhile, persistent rain and snow could affect road visibility on major roads.
