While many Americans began to feel the taste of winter and unseasonably cold weather like December, weather agencies are looking into the Atlantic for the potential development of brewing systems before the end of the 2022 Hurricane Center.

Recently, Hurricane Nicole unloaded heavy rains in portions of Florida, affecting residents who were recovering from the catastrophic impact of Hurricane Ian.

Nicole damaged power lines, causing power outages in the affected areas.

Colder Weather

On the other hand, AccuWeather's latest weather update showed that portions of the central U.S would experience a burst of arctic air that feels like January this November.

The Artic air would help temperatures to drop to their lowest level.

Residents who like the cold weather could expect the chilly air this week.

The weather outlook showed that persistent chilly air would be present in Billings, Denver, Kansas City, Memphis, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Boston. New York, Washington, Dallas, and Charlotte.

Meanwhile, suppressed warm air could persist in Houston, Jacksonville, and Miami.

Furthermore, AccuWeather's outlook explained that the coldest of the season could emerge starting Thursday, reaching 20 to 30 below normal.

The report noted that lake-effect snow and flurries could be expected on the same date.

The coldest of the season could occur in Denver, Dallas, Kansas City, Memphis, Charlotte, Jacksonville, Washington, and New York.

The AccuWeather report also added that the cold weather could be influenced by wind gusts reaching 20 to 30 mph.

The wind gusts could help make the weather colder. AccuWeather advised residents to wear extra layers of winter clothes.

Residents in the said areas should watch for potential small flooding.

What to do during snow

As winter comes and weather conditions allow snow in some portions of the United States, it is best to know what to do during the snow.

The changing weather and temperatures also result in heavy snow to blizzards that could cause danger or safety issues.

Check the weather outside.

For any outdoor activities, including in the mountains, it is advisable to be aware of the weather outside.

Check for potential severe weather conditions, the threat of mountain snow, heavy snow, and blizzards. These could cause danger issues as you travel outdoors.

There are also cases of heavy snow that result in temporary road closure due to reduced zero visibility.

Wear layers of clothes

As the weather becomes colder than expected, wearing layers of clothes could help you from the chilly weather.

Prolonged exposure to cold weather could cause health risks, including frostbite and hypothermia.

Knowing the right clothes cover your entire body would prevent any health issues. In that way, you could enjoy the coming winter.
