In mid-week, the temperatures can be more like winter in the Northeast and Midwest. The additional dangers are reduced visibility and blowing snow in the following:

• Washington

Furthermore, the colder outlook can spread to Indianapolis, St. Louis, Virginia Beach, Washington and New York. Last year, New York City recorded a late measurable snowfall due to warm conditions and lack of snow.

According to the NWS Climate Prediction Center, homeowners should check for stormy outlooks in the Western US during the Holiday week. The forecast warned of heavy precipitation in parts of Southern Oregon and California this week.
