Reports showed that it was not easy for rescuers to finally rescue an exhausted dog that showed weakness while on England's highest mountain, which took the rescue operations about four hours.

The dog owners immediately called for assistance after the dog refused to move while climbing England's highest mountain.

Authorities responded to the call with a 13-member rescue operation.

Based on the CNN, AccuWeather, and The Guardian reports, the 13-man rescue team climbed to rescue the exhausted and injured dog. Reports said that the pooch was about 73-pound (33 kilograms).

The report added that the dog showed signs of refusing to move from its location on the Scafell Pike near the Lake District National Park in England.

The rescue operations took about four hours, according to reports.

When the rescuers came to save the dog, they put the 73-pound dog on a stretcher. Meanwhile, the Guardian report said that the dog was calm and cool as the rescuers climbed him down from the mountain.

Based on the Kwesick Mountain Rescue Team Facebook page, many Facebook users thanked the rescue teams for their immediate response to the call.

In July 2022, CNN also reported that a St. Bernard dog was rescued on England's highest mountain. Although St. Bernard's dogs are known for cold temperatures and rescue operations, they collapsed as they climbed down on the mountain.

Reports showed that the St. Bernard dog was named Daisy, weighing about 121 pounds, as rescuers rescued the dog from the Scafell Pike. About 16 rescuers responded to the call.

Furthermore, the dog's owners helped to keep the dog hydrated while they waited for the rescuers to come in.

The report said that the rescue operations took about five hours.
