Heavy Snowfall to Unfold in New York, Northeast Due to Winter Storms

The latest weather forecasts said that there is a possibility that heavy snow would unload in the Northeast.

The forecast in New York City (NYC) said that residents and motorists could expect heavy snowfall.

In addition, the final week of February would still become problematic for motorists and commuters due to travel hazards and slower commutes.

The National Weather Prediction Center recently reported that a coast-to-coast storm is expected in Southern California, bringing heavy snow and freezing rain.

Heavy snowfall and winter storms in the US

Furthermore, AccuWeather's latest forecast said snow conditions are expected in the Northeast this weekend.

Staying updated with the weather this week is essential to prevent travel hazards while on the roads. Slippery roads and reduced road visibility are also possible. 

The troublesome weather conditions could cause significant damage to powerlines and trees. 

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported that the Northeast would expect blizzard-like conditions and heavy snow.

The weather advisory added that the snow could stretch to parts of the Upper Midwest.

Meanwhile, homeowners could expect colder temperatures this weekend. They should ensure that family members wear layered clothes and monitor the temperatures of their family members, especially those with pre-existing health conditions.

Based on AccuWeather's outlook, wintry conditions and colder temperatures are expected this week.

• Colder temperatures would unfold in Charleston, Roanoke, Raleigh, Pittsburgh, Scranton, Buffalo, Albany, New York, Washington, Virginia Beach and Boston.
• On Saturday, the forecast said intermittent snow would unload in Burlington and Buffalo. Snow showers are expected in Pittsburgh, Charleston, New York and Washington.

On the other hand, parts of the US had the early taste of spring-like temperatures.

Furthermore, the weather could still forecast problematic in parts of the United States.

Next week, the weather forecast said possible snow would unload in Green Bay, Saginaw, Scranton, Albany, Portland and Boston.

However, there is a chance that rounds of rain will unload in Nashville, Roanoke, Knoxville, Washington, Pittsburgh and New York on Monday.

• On the same day, the forecast said snow and ice would unleash in Minneapolis, Detroit and Buffalo.
