The weather forecasts said colder temperatures and heavy snow are expected to unload in the United Kingdom due to the Stratospheric Warming Event.

According to the latest weather forecasts, Daily Express UK reported that the freezing outlook is forecast in the United Kingdom that could emerge in mid-February.

In the latest Tweet, the Met Office explained that a major Sudden Stratospheric Warming (SSW) would likely emerge, bringing dry weather and cold temperatures.

Meanwhile, Sky News said that the SSW would help unleash bitter cold conditions in the UK as meteorological spring comes near.

According to Prof. Adam Scaife from Met Office, the SSW is over 80% likely to occur this 2023.

In 2018, Sky News reported that a major SSWS was significant to unleash bone-chilling temperatures in the UK.

However, forecasts emphasized that it would still be too early to suggest the impact of SSW or how it can affect weather conditions.

Heavy snow and freezing conditions would still unfold in the UK whether the SSW emerges. January and February are known as the snowiest and coldest months.

Met Office's weather forecast

In the Met Office's weather forecasts (February 9 to February 13), the report said that portions of the north would expect heavy showers.

In Southern England, the forecast said that cloudy and rainy conditions are expected. In the Northwest, the outlook would become wintry and windy.

On Friday, the weather forecasts said that central and easter areas would notice a dry conditions. The forecast said that residents could see cloudy conditions in the north and west.

Meanwhile, Northwest Scotland would experience heavy rain.

From Saturday to early next week, the weather forecast said the UK would anticipate widespread frost at night.

Next week, Met Office explained that fog and mists would unfold in the UK, with possible rain in Northern Ireland.

In the north and west, the weather would become windy with rain chances.

The temperatures are expected to be milder next week, with temperatures dropping at night.

Motorists and commuters traveling this week should bring an umbrella due to rain chances. It is best to monitor the weather conditions before traveling, anticipating wetter roads.
