The latest forecast showed that a blast of extremely cold air from Siberia would bring colder to freezing weather to North America and portions of the United States next week.

The cold air is expected to remain this month. A recent forecast reported that the Northeast would expect widespread snow this week. A wintry weather could unload in portions of New York and Washington.

As the weather becomes colder with potential blizzard conditions, the report explained that it could cause significant travel disruptions as many Americans to rush to malls to buy Christmas gifts and decorations.

The weather conditions have been challenging in the United States, with reported blizzards and tornadoes that could result in life-threatening situations.

Colder weather

Meanwhile, AccuWeather latest news (December 15, 2022) said bitter-cold air come Siberia would unload in North America, the Rockies and the East. The cold air would bring colder and freezing temperatures in portions of the United States, especially in the east.

While many regions in the world could record cold and freezing temperatures, the report explained that Siberia is the coldest place during winter.

The winter season could mark the coldest temperatures in the United States, with severe weather conditions that reportedly unloaded rain and snow.

The temperatures before Christmas would be colder than usual as some parts of the United States could experience more snow. AccuWeather explained that colder air is expected to unload early next week. North America, Northern Rockies could occur in the early week.

In addition, portions of the central, Midwest and southern Plains could expect the arriving cold air midweek.

The report said that the arctic blast would be expected next week, which could bring widespread colder weather. According to AccuWeather's outlook, the arctic blast would unload in Billings, Kansas City, Chicago, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh and Lexington starting Wednesday until Friday.

On the other hand, the forecast added that extremely cold temperatures could emerge in North Dakota or Montana this week.

With the forecasted cold air, it is expected that the power supply could be consumed more due to colder weather, especially in tornado-hit areas.

The heating demand is expected to soar as Christmas comes near. The heating system would be helpful during the colder weather or at night when temperatures drop. However, a previous report said that many Americans worried about turning on their heating system because of the high cost.

Freezing temperatures before Christmas

As weather conditions become colder, AccuWeather reported that the freezing temperatures could affect crops, especially in portions of southern Texas.

AccuWeather's outlook on Sunday also revealed that a widespread freeze in South Texas is expected. Meanwhile, the forecast added that the Rockies and Plains could reach sub-zero temperatures.

The forecast said that the coldest temperatures could unfold in Minneapolis, New York, Washington, Boston and Chicago. Cold weather is also expected in Billings, Denver, El Paso, Dallas, Houston, Memphis, Kansas City, Charlotte and Jacksonville.

AccuWeather explained that a storm could emerge as temperatures become colder due to a blast of arctic air.

As many Americans look forward to Christmas celebrations, colder air would continue until Christmas week in El Paso, Denver, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Chicago, Boston, New York and Washington DC.
