The forecast also warned that blizzard conditions and tornadoes could emerge in the South.

Meanwhile, the AccuWeather latest news report, this Thursday, December 15, revealed that a winter storm could unload in portions of the Northeast, which could cause heavy snow and rain.

Residents in the Northeast should stay updated with the weather. The news report noted that it could cause dangerous travel and slowed commutes.

Widespread snow

According to AccuWeather's outlook, it showed that ice and wintry conditions could begin on Wednesday.

Starting Wednesday night to Thursday, the ice weather outlook could unload icy glaze, widespread power outages and slippery travel in portions of State College, D.C. and Roanoke.

Meanwhile, the heaviest snow could happen in the parts of Interstate 95 (From north to west) starting Wednesday.

The weather outlook for this week would be challenging for many residents in the Northeast, which could persist until weekends.

  • The forecast also noted that significant travel delays could unfold in Pennsylvania and Maine on Sunday.
  • AccuWeather reported that residents in the portions of Washington, Interstate 68 and Interstate 70 and Baltimore could experience freezing weather until Thursday.

The weather would be colder in some regions.

Experts said prolonged exposure to colder weather could result in cold-related health risks.

Turning on your heating system and wearing the appropriate winter clothes is best.

According to the forecast, the snow and potential sleet would spread until Friday.

It is expected to unload portions of the State College, Scranton, Utica, Buffalo, Burlington and Bangor.

Wintry mix weather

AccuWeather also reported that a wintry mix would unleash in New York City and north of Philadelphia.

The forecast warned that the storm would make travel in the nearby areas challenging for motorists.

As weather could cause significant travel delays, motorists must monitor the weather and travel hazards.

Starting Thursday until Saturday, the report added that snow would unleash in Washington, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Montreal, Bangor, New York and Boston.

The outlook on Thursday recorded a wintry mix of weather. Pittsburgh, Charleston, Detroit, Washington, and Virginia Beach experienced rain.

New York and Boston residents could expect rain starting Thursday.

Meanwhile, Portland and Boston anticipated showers.

According to AccuWeather's Friday forecast, it showed that stormy conditions would unload.

Colder weather could occur in Charleston, Columbus, Detroit and Pittsburgh. Meanwhile, residents in Burlington could expect snow.

On the other hand, the Friday forecast said that rain could unfold in New York, Boston and Portland.
