Two storms have prompted the UK meteorologists to issue weather warnings in some parts of England, Scotland, and northern Ireland from Wednesday to Friday, Feb. 16 to Feb. 18.

The first storm named 'Dudley' wreaked havoc in some parts of the UK on Wednesday, causing widespread disruption.

Storm Dudley had forced the UK weather authorities to issue a 'stay indoors' warning due to the downpour of its gales.

Meanwhile, the incoming Storm Eunice has been reportedly considered to be one of the worst storms in the UK in 30 years.

The weather forecast suggests Storm Eunice would bring, including power outages, damages to houses, flooding, and travel disruption.

Furthermore, the weather authorities have issued life-threatening risks posed by the two storms, highlighting one of the most climatic challenges that the UK had faced in decades.

The UK is facing back-to-back severe weather phenomena in the form of Storm Eunice and Storm Dudley.

The  Meteorological Office (Met Office), the UK's official weather service agency, has issued an amber warning for Friday due to the incoming Storm Eunice.

The amber warning is the second highest out of the three weather warnings being issued by the UK Met Office, as per the UK weather service agency's weather warnings guide.

The amber warning can also be described as a life-threatening and disruptive weather warning.

Under the amber warning, there is a high probability that severe weather will cause large-scale travel disruption and infrastructural damage, including travel delays, road, and rail closures, power outages, property damage, and risk to life.

Furthermore, the UK Met Office warned people to stay indoors-as Storm Eunice has been forecasted to bring strong winds with the potential to cause power outages, damage to houses, coastal flooding, and travel chaos, as per the BBC news.

Eunice has been considered by several reports to be one of the worst storms heading the UK in 30 years.

This is based on the predicted impact that Eunice may bring.

Storm Dudley and Potential Collision with Eunice

The threat posed by Storm Eunice came after Storm Dudley put the UK at a standstill.

On Wednesday, the UK Met Office also forecasted that Storm Dudley will bring strong winds.

As a result, the first storm caused power cuts and fallen trees due to heavy snowfall, heavy rain, and strong winds.

Although Dudley went first ahead of Eunice, the UK Met Office said the two storms may collide, which moved the UK weather service agency to issue a 'danger to life' amber warning, as per Sky News.

Affected Areas and Travel Restrictions

Since Wednesday, widespread disruption has already been reported in multiple parts of the UK.

In England, the local authorities have urged motorists to only travel along its national highways if absolutely necessary.

While jn Wales, authorities have placed flood alerts in the central, northern, and southern areas. And in Scotland, rail services have been disrupted already on Wednesday.

The UK is currently in its winter season which spans from December to February. However, torrential rain and the formation of storms can occur at any time of the year.

In the past, most storms in the UK originated in the Atlantic Ocean. These storms often cause travel-related and infrastructural disruption.
