Anti-Aging Gin Hits the Market; Claims to be the Fountain of Youth

It's undeniably true that most people in the world are obsessed with staying young and the concept of defying their age. That's why there are a lot of anti-aging products available today from cosmetics to food to treatments. Recently, an alcohol alchemist created an alcoholic drink which claims to have anti-aging properties, aptly called the "Anti-aGin".

According to Telegraph, the makers claim that "Anti-Agin" is distilled with ingestible collagen and "age-defying" botanicals which give it its anti-aging properties. Aside from alcohol, they said drinking this gin can make you look younger!

This youth elixir is developed by Bompas & Parr and commissioned by Warner Leisure Hotels.

The Spirits Business said the gin targets women drinkers who are looking for their fountain of youth. "Created for Warner Leisure Hotels, the 40% abv Anti-AGin is said to be the "first gin of its kind" that allows gin fans to "rejuvenate" their skin while drinking."

The anti-aGin drink boasts of its "age-defying botanicals" which all help to decrease the pace of aging. These are "collagen; an anti-wrinkle substance; nettle, containing mineral content for cell rejuvenation; Gotu Kola, which inhibits scar formation and combats cellulite; chamomile, a healing and relaxing agent; witch hazel oil, which kills bacteria within the skin's pores; burdock, high in anti-oxidents to repair cracked skin; and green tea, which clears the body of impurities."

Collagen is one of the most important substances in keeping the skin young, it is what keeps our skin supple and over time, as we get older, and the collagen supply in our body lessens thus the wrinkled skin.

Today collagen is sold in many different forms, as a powdered drink, in food, in capsules and used in beauty treatments.

This "Anti-aGin" is sold at www.drinksupermarket.com. Huffington Post said the "Anti-aGin retails for $50 per bottle.

There may not be any therapeutic claims yet but it is definitely cheaper than Botox. And as the experts say "It's the next best thing for people who want stay young, but don't want to give up alcohol.
