    Selling several species of invasive plants had been banned by federal and state regulators because many of these nonnative plants have been identified as 'noxious weeds' by federal and state governments, or as 'problematic invasive plants' by agencies and nonprofit organizations. As a matter of fact, even the 'the world's worst invasive weeds' as per the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) are being sold at many US garden centers.
