A new fossil fish found among a collection displayed at Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, Texas, boasted some interesting characteristics, including a rotund tuna-like body and "hook-shaped sail" on its back.
Wits University researchers recently discovered the earliest known fossils of coelacanth species. This species, named Serenichthys kowiensis, is 360 million years old.
