According to AccuWeather (January 12, 2023), the report said a new wave of cold air could unfold in north-central and northwestern India that could persist until next week.

Meanwhile, the report explained that classes were also canceled due o the impact of the prolonged cold wave.

AccuWeather added that the country could expect the blast of cold air on Sunday until the early weeks, noting the region's dense fog and poor air quality.

Meanwhile, the temperature drop could worry many residents, especially homeless people in India. The cold weather could become challenging for the homeless population.

On the other hand, the report also added that the country warned people of the potential impact of prolonged exposure to colder weather. Therefore, the weather agency emphasized temporarily avoiding or limiting any outdoor activities.

According to the India Meteorological Department's latest forecast summary and bulletin, the forecast warned that portions of India could expect moderate to scattered rainfall with snowfall starting January 12, 2023.

The advisory also emphasized the cold wave warning for many residents. In addition, the weather bulletin explained that the cold wave conditions could unload in portions of North Rajasthan, Pradesh, Punjab, IIaryana, Uttarakhand and Chandigarh from January 15 to January 17, 2023.

• The forecast also said that the region's light winds and high moisture could unfold dense fog in portions of India from January 13 to January 17, 2023. Therefore, motorists should be very cautious driving during very dense fog conditions.
• Meanwhile, dense fog is expected to unfold in Sikkim, Odisha, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam and Tripura until January 14, 2023.

The weather advisory noted that very dense fog is dangerous for driving, especially at night. Therefore, it would be best that motorists should monitor the weather conditions before traveling to ensure safety.

Furthermore, cold day conditions could persist in West Uttar Pradesh from January 15 to 16, 2023, while the east portions could expect cold weather from January 12 to January 16, 2023.
