Hurricanes Help to Unearth Historical Shipwreck from the 1800s in Florida

A mysterious and rare shipwreck was discovered in Florida after Hurricanes caused erosion in the beach, causing the object to emerge.

Hurricane Ian and Hurricane Nicole left a catastrophic impact on Florida residents, causing damage to infrastructure, bridges and homes. Volunteer groups and Florida immediately sent assistance to affected residents.

Shipwrecks from the 1800s

According to a recent report on December 9, 2022, AccuWeather reported that Florida Hurricanes helped to unearth a shipwreck that is believed to be from the 1800s.

AccuWeather added that archaeologists immediately reported to the area of Daytona Beach, Florida. They would look into the object in the area.

 The report added that the 80-feet long shipwreck could be from the 1800s, believed to be a seafaring merchant ship, adding that the archaeologists said it was still unclear about the ship's name and the date shipwreck happened.

However, it would not be easy for them to unearth the shipwreck due to the tides on the beach. They are looking for ways to unearth the ship that could preserve its state.

Many residents started a new life after Hurricane Ian's impact, which destroyed many houses. Families began to construct their damaged homes, and as the Christmas Season came near.

The massive impact of recent Hurricanes in Florida was like a warzone, but many residents were positive to return to normal and help each other.

Mississippi River Historic Water Levels

On the other hand, a previous report revealed Mississippi River reached a historically low water level in October 2022 due to prolonged drought and rainless seasons. The noticeable low water levels in the Mississippi River had affected many farmers depending on the river and the ship traveling for important trades.

In addition, a woman looking for rocks at the Mississippi River in October found something unusual. She discovered bones near Clarksdale in the Mississippi River. They found unidentified human bones, which include lower jawbone and rib bones.

She immediately alerted the local authorities to examine what is believed to be human remains.

On the other hand, forecasts said that the Mississippi River all the time low could have improvement next year.

Mountain Snow

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service said a storm could unload rain, high winds and mountain snow in portions of the Western United States this weekend. The forecast added that the north-central U.S. could be affected.

The recent forecast added that the storm could cause travel disruption in the affected areas, including the central U.S.

Residents traveling outside should note the heavy mountain snow, especially those planning to hike on mountains. Checking the current weather before leaving is important to avoid the stress of the weather and prevent any injuries or cold-related health concerns.
